Yeah fried CHICKEN WINGS!
Who doesn’t like chicken wings? I can name maybe just one person who is kind of impartial, but we will not go into that now “wink”.
Wings are the dish that everyone enjoys, it can be messy to eat, but that’s the fun part. Of course as all of you know you can go crazy with different kind of sauces to flavor them, so delicious and so easy to do.
In this issue we will create a sauce that is out of this world. Savory and super delicious, you will be surprised at how easy this recipe is and I hope you can add this to your favorite items to share with your loved ones.
In a large mixing bowl, mix salt, pepper, wings and sprinkle 5 tbs tempura powder. In another large mixing bowl combine remaining tempura and water, mix with whisk. It should be thinner than pancake batter. Feel free to add more powder if it’s too runny or water if its too thick.
Heat oil to 350 degrees. Coat wings in tempura batter and fry till lightly brown or until fully cooked. Drain on paper towel.
In a small sauce pan, mix all the sauce ingredients, let simmer in low heat, reduce until sauce thickens slightly. In another mixing bowl, toss fried wings with sauce until fully coated, arrange wings in serving platter pour any leftover sauce on top. Sprinkle the toasted sesame seed and serve. Especially good with iced cold beer! Yummy and delicious, enjoy!
Tip: If you would like your sauce to be a little spicy, add 1/2tsp of red pepper flakes to the sauce. jb
