When you have something new, like a new car, don’t you just love the way it looks, feels, and smells. When you’ve had it for a while and haven’t really appreciated it by not giving it a bath, it can look and feel very dull. It has lost it’s spark and it doesn’t impress the same feelings in you that it did when it was brand new. Funny how that can change with a good detail.

Do you feel dull? Do you feel that you are reflecting the way that you feel on the inside? Do you look at yourself in the mirror and see your best self? Or do you beat yourself up because the way you feel on the inside is completely shining through to the outside and not in a good way? Do you feel like that dirty car?

What is required to truly reflect inner health and beauty on the outside? Well, first of all, you have to feel like a million bucks. When was the last time you felt that way? It requires being healthy. I know, healthy doesn’t really fit into the current lifestyle, does it? Nope. Not easily. I will be the first to admit that. I have had to turn my life upside down to be healthy, because I reached the point of not liking the way I felt all the time. Most days now, I do feel like a million bucks. I don’t hit that every day, but I do more than I don’t. I do see the results in the mirror. It is amazing how the way you see yourself changes when you feel good and wake up loving your life.
How do you feel good and wake up loving your life? It all starts with a decision and then a commitment. And it really is simple, it just isn’t always as easy as you might like it to be. Hence the commitment.

Where do you start? A great starting place is diet. I recommend a Paleo Diet as a great starting place for all of my clients. Diet always comes before exercise. This diet can be very impactful in the way you feel if you commit to it as a lifestyle. If you aren’t a Dive Right In kind of a person, then take it Slow and Steady. Commit to adding 2 or 3 Paleo meals a week until you are finally 100% Paleo. If you are a Dive Right In person, good for you. Go after it but be careful you don’t take too much on at once, get overwhelmed and give up.

I read somewhere a few years ago that it’s all hard. Whether you keep living the way you have been living, whether you give in and just let yourself go in a bad way, whether you make the decision to be healthy and do what is required. It is all hard. If you don’t like the way you are shining through right now. If you aren’t happy about what is being reflected in the mirror you can change that. It is all in your hands. Choose your hard, do what needs be done to feel like a million bucks. Take that first step today!!!
